"How many times do I have to tell you?? You think this is all about YOU, doing what you want, playing your games, thinking only of yourself! Well, I'm tired of it. You're not the only one here, you know, I have needs too. It's about time you do something for me instead of just yourself!
Fine, if you won't listen to me, I'll take more drastic measures...

So I thought I'd beat my wife to this one, and add in something interesting.
Supposing I was born Dec 28, 1980, and you and I are talking on Dec 28, that would mean that I'm 28 (DUH?!). So how many days old am I?
Remember, you count Dec 28 1980 as day 0, since I'm not a day old on that day, but that does mean that at each year, we will count the day - specifics you know.

Great news. Michael McCarty, my father-in-law, has decided to embark on a new digital mission; the WEB! He's working on launching www.mccarty-family.com with some help from me. He's got the domain for quite some time, so look for website improvements.
The main purpose of the site is genealogy.
Right now its just a place-holder template stating the site is "Under Construction" (all too true). If you have a good idea for a website layout to suit this need, that would be a help and you should let him know (not me).
I wish him the best, and good luck on the new domain!

I know there are lots of bots out there that love to post random stuff on comments of postings of sites... such as mine... in the hopes that they'll get a few more crawls and hits. Just an FYI, there are those of us who do watch the content placed on their site from time to time.
So friends, family, and colleagues of the following:
The Queen Herself: Sheba's Grand, Royal, Official Homage

Once upon a time, a princess was born. Her mommy and daddy, wrong though they may have been, did what they thought they had to and locked her away high on a hill. Finally, when she was a year or two old, her hero came along and rescued her.
Thus, she was reborn, not as a princess, but as a Queen. Queen Sheba.
Her story, as all good stories worth telling, is dramatic. Full of good times and bad times, and ultimately has a happy ending.
"Stress Relief" and "I Have the Coolest Husband Ever"

So I'm having a bad day. Won't go in to details, don't need to turn this in to my personal whining board. Then no one would read it! Suffice it to say, I needed something to entertain me, make me smile... Stress relief!
Decided to let my creative juices flow, and this is my master piece!
I am very proud!! : D
Also, my darling husband just saved the day and fixed our TV so we can watch it now! GO HUBBY!!! It's been stupid, and I always thought it was the cable and was getting mad at Comcast, yet again. We couldn't watch AMC (they're showing Last Samurai now! So what if we have it on DVD too! : P ), or TLC, one of my favorites. It was very sad. But Brian fixed it, yay yay yay!

Seems my wife got a little rough with her laptop over the weekend, because we've had to turn it over to those Geek Squad people in Best Buy to fix it. Seems the screw holding down the outer shell and monitor to the pivot hinge stripped, and also the threading for the mount was missing! Needless to say it wasn't a simple, "screw the screw back into the hole and everything will be OK," sort of fix. So, we'll see if she gets her laptop back in 2 weeks or less... should I start a betting pool?

A friend shared this with me today. I love a good challenge, and this was one! So I thought I'd share with you guys. I'd love to see what you guys come up with, too, since we don't have an answer key!
The Genius Test
Brain Teaser: It is a challenging, and some of them might be unknown to people the U.S. This test is to gauge your mental flexibility and creativity. Since it has been developed (in 1996), it has been found that few people can solve more than half on the first day. Many reported getting answers long after the test had been set aside, at unexpected moments when their minds were relaxed, and some reported solving it over a period of several days.
Scoring 1 to 5 is Average, 6 to 11 Somewhat Intelligent, 12 to 18 Intelligent, 19+ Genius

Can we show off a bit? I've been in the newspaper many times before, but other than the day I was born, I never had a real, full sized article just about me!
Because I keep going back to my hometown and family from when I was an exchange student, and even had a "second wedding" there, the newspaper noticed, and interviewed me and ran an article!
I know it's in Japanese, and really small, so I don't expect most people will be able to read it, but isn't this exciting?
Ok, so we're on page 13, but it's a large newspaper, so that's not bad! It's my host dad, my real dad, me, Brian, and my host mom.

..or trying to, anyway! The world's most stubborn cat hater, also known as Evie... Well, she's begining to loosen up!!
But before we show definitive and shocking proof of the impossible (Evie putting up with another cat in her vicinity), here's some of Cronos settling in!
Harness training! We put him in a harness to take him up to Petco, we need to make sure he can go to adoption fairs.
Read on to see more of the furries, including the once-in-a-lifetime occurance of Evie being nose-to-nose with another cat and NOT freaking out!!

Been a while since I've updated! Been so busy with work after getting back from Japan that we haven't done much else. I've also been house sitting for the last few days, so I'm not even at home! Being busy is a good way to pass the time. : )
So I figure, to update, I should talk about important things, ya know? So what's most important for me? Well, we are getting ready for Pip. Not time yet, so this gives you all fair warning!

And this boy is no exception! Already my "special project" has done nothing more than find a special place in my heart! But like the other 9 that still have special places, he'll go find a good home, too!
This anti-social, people aggressive, turning feral 4 1/2 month old foster boy of mine, well, isn't! Ends up he reminds me of Evie when we brought her home. We used to tease her about being "broken"- couldn't stop purring long enough to eat and couldn't stop kneading long enough to walk! That's Cronos to a tee!
Overly-lovey as he is, he is still a little boy, and is PLAYFUL!!

Let me introduce my newest foster boy! Seems the "temporary foster" for the Meow Men decided they are quite welcome to stay longer with her and doesn't want to give them back yet! They are quite sweet. <3

Whether it's considered our second wedding or first anniversary or just a vacation, it was great! As most of you know (and all who have been reading this!) my dad, Brian and I went back to Japan to stay a week, from 8/27 to 9/3, to stay with my host family from when I was an exchange student 9 years ago in high school. While there, they threw us a "wedding party". The wedding party was 8/31, our first anniversary was 9/2.
We took over 400 pictures! Most of which you can see here, as Brian mentioned and linked in his last post. Thanks babe for all your hard work!
For highlights and a bit of story, please continue reading! Warning- LOTS of pictures! Don't continue reading if your computer can't load that many. ; )
